Pork Chop a la Normandy

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 2 apples, cored, peeled, and sliced
  • 200ml single cream. Cream. Not Elmlea.
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 100ml apple cider
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • olive oil, for cooking

Method

  1. Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat some olive oil in a skillet and sear pork chops until golden on both sides.
  3. Remove pork chops and add apple slices to the pan, cooking until tender.
  4. Deglaze the pan with apple cider, then stir in mustard and cream.
  5. Return pork chops to the pan and simmer until the sauce thickens and pork is cooked through.
  6. Serve pork chops with the apple and mustard sauce on some mashed potatoes.
