Pork Chop a la Normandy
Ingredients
- 4 pork chops
- 2 apples, cored, peeled, and sliced
- 200ml single cream. Cream. Not Elmlea.
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 100ml apple cider
- salt and pepper, to taste
- olive oil, for cooking
Method
- Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
- Heat some olive oil in a skillet and sear pork chops until golden on both sides.
- Remove pork chops and add apple slices to the pan, cooking until tender.
- Deglaze the pan with apple cider, then stir in mustard and cream.
- Return pork chops to the pan and simmer until the sauce thickens and pork is cooked through.
- Serve pork chops with the apple and mustard sauce on some mashed potatoes.
